Patrick Commercial closes on 12+ acres for a Love’s Travel Shop in Joliet

James Weinhold of Patrick Commercial Real Estate closed on a 12+-acre site on the SWC of Briggs and Interstate in Joliet, Illinois.

The 12-acre site, plus additional 2 acres residential site has been annexed into the City of Joliet. Love’s Travel Shop will bring utilities to the site.

This is a $13 million capital investment into an underdeveloped area, which will bring in 50 to 60 jobs. James Weinhold quote “ this is a new identity for the East side of Joliet” “You have to have utilities lines for development, and that is exactly what Love’s is doing in this area.” Love’s Travel Shop will bring in an estimated $1,500,000 in new sales tax revenue. According to preliminary site plan, Love’s will include a truck stop, a convenience store, restaurants, gourmet coffee, car and truck wash, and a CAT scale.
